Our Heritage

The founders of the organization decided on naming the organization Saturnalian after the Roman festival of Saturnalias. The objective of the newfound organization was to create a brigade embodied  with character, excellence and commitment.

Since the founding date, the organization has earned a total of four 1st prize finishes, including impressively winning the parade their first year participating. Also, the Saturnalian N.Y.A. is recorded as the only club in the history of the Fancy Brigade Division to receive a perfect score in the Mummers Parade (1985).

They have emerged as a family-oriented organization with a competitive attitude towards winning and a strong desire to succeed.  We pride ourselves on the motto that we are "The Few, The Proud,The Saturnalians".
